Session Four Reading Assignments

Fear Fighters book

Chapter 5, Fight for Your Family

The top priority of Satan’s attacks in the 21st century is the family … is YOUR family. If your family is Satan’s top priority, shouldn’t it also be yours? You MUST protect your family from harm, through prayer. Home must be a safe place for your children, and your children’s children. The most important thing you can do for your children is to love God and be totally committed to each other. Obey God, show mercy, and strive to live in peace.

You have to build your home with a weapon in one hand and a trowel in the other, constantly. Grab a divine weapon—the name of Jesus, the Word, prayer, and praise—in one hand. Take the building instrument in the other hand, and be prepared to fight and build as the occasion arises. We must persevere because building a family takes time and is a continuous process … a protracted war with the enemy with many small battles to win along the way. Continually “cleanse” your home through forgiveness for harsh words, mean acts, and sin. Allow Jesus’ blood to cleanse your home with grace, mercy, and when possible, restoration. Be very careful with what you allow in the home knowing Satan will use every kind of media and social media to infiltrate.
