The Number One Ingredient for A Miracle

Sermon Notes

When God formed man out of the dust of the ground, He breathed the breath of life into him. When God sees your dirt, He breathes life into your situation and a miracle takes place! God doesn’t need anything special for your miracle to take place; He just needs your dirt!

Key Scripture:

Genesis 2:7; John 8:1-11; Psalm 103:14; Numbers 5:17, 30; 2 Timothy 2:20; Mark 8:22-23; 2 Corinthians 4:7; Proverbs 14:4

Key Points:

  1. God always starts with dirt. When God made Adam, He used the dirt from the ground. God doesn’t need anything special for your miracle, He just needs you to bring him your dirt.
  2. God is not afraid to get His hands dirty. God isn’t afraid of your dirt; He’s attracted to it. God even put Himself into a human body through Jesus and took on our dirt.
  3. God anoints the dirt in your life. The very thing that you think is unclean, God uses for His glory.
  4. We are just dirt. The only thing that makes us clean is Jesus. We are not holy unless we have Him.
  5. He is the God of dirt. If you are discouraged today or going through something, give it to God. He will perform a miracle with it.
  6. God mixes your dirt with His deity. Just like the blind man in Mark 8, God will mix your dirt with His DNA, and a miracle takes place.
  7. Get dirt on yourself. We have a responsibility, not to just give God your dirt, but to help others do the same.

Final Thoughts:

God doesn’t need much to do a miracle in your life! God made Adam out of dirt, and He is still performing miracles with the dirt in your life. Whether you are the worst sinner or a strong believer, you are still just dirt. Without God, we are nothing. Don’t try to clean yourself up to come to God. Instead, bring Him your dirt and watch God do the miraculous! And don’t let it stop there—help others do the same!
