Daily Devotions

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT).

Often we are discouraged because we don’t see God moving in ways that we expect. Sometimes we go weeks or months and wonder if He hears us, or if He is doing anything at all. We bide our time waiting for the unbelievable miracle or the instantaneous transformation and overlook His hand in the little moments.

The truth is that God is always doing something. He is working all the time in ways we fail to see.

In a world that is constantly changing, our God is steadfast and faithful. The same God who walked in the garden with Adam, protected Daniel in the Lion’s Den and transformed Saul into Paul, walks with us daily. No matter where our days may take us, God is with us, faithful to fulfill His promises, and everything will be all right!

Focus on recognizing His presence in your daily routine. Look for ways that God is working in your relationships. Pray that He will show you ways that you can join His work and be a blessing to the people you encounter.
