The Treasury Of Snow

“Your prayers and your alms have come up as a memorial before God.” Acts 10:4

There is a remarkable verse found in Job 38 that says, “Have you entered the treasury of snow, or have you seen the treasury of hail, which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?” Snow in this passage represents spiritual snow that comes down once you send up your prayers. The treasury of snow is the accumulation of the prayers and praises you send to God each day. You are a snowmaker. Just like snow accumulates on a mountain peak in winter; your prayers are collecting up in Heaven. You may be facing challenges and difficulties right now, but there will come a season of change when, all of a sudden, the snow will melt, and rivers of salvation, deliverance, healing, and miracles will begin to flow!

Do not grow weary in praying for your loved ones. “Pray without ceasing.” The winter and barren season is the best time to pray. You are storing up snow. The Bible says every tear that you shed is bottled. Acts 10 tells about a man named Cornelius who made a memorial before the throne of God. He created an “ice palace” with his prayers and giving, which was so great that God poured out His salvation on his entire house. This was the beginning of the Gentile miracle and the reason we can now be saved. Thank God for this man’s faithfulness in storing up a treasury of snow that resulted in an avalanche of blessings for generations.

You can also see miraculous things in your life when you store up prayers and praises to God. It may feel like winter right now. You may think there’s no way God can turn your situation around, but just keep praying and praising Him. No prayer is wasted time. You are filling up the treasury of snow!
