  • Your mountain is a molehill

Who are you, O great mountain?

    Zec 4:7 NKJV

When the Israelites were building the temple, their enemies became like a mountain standing in their way. If that's your situation today, read these words carefully: 'This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the Lord of hosts. 'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of 'Grace, grace to it!'... 'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands shall also finish it... For who has despised the day of small things?'' (Zec 4:6-10 NKJV). The Amplified Bible reads, 'O great mountain... you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]!' Start looking at your situation from the perspective of God's enabling grace. In this passage the Lord tells Zechariah that the problem facing the Israelites only appeared to be a mountain, it was actually a molehill. How would you like your mountain to become a molehill? It will, once you start doing what God says. Instead of obsessing over the problem, focus on the Lord and His power. In the early stages of anything you should live by the words, 'Don't despise the day of small things.' In the middle stages you must live by the words, 'Let us not grow weary while doing good' (Gal 6:9 NKJV). And in the final stages, 'Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith' (Heb 12:2 NKJV). If God's told you to do something, it is not only His will that you begin it, but that you finish it.

Wow!! That is just what I needed today. Change is in the air, and we are hoping to make some changes in God's will. Some may not think our ideas are good ones. It will be step one of following God's plan for my life.

Amen, man of God. The devil needs to know this cause he has been bullying the church pointing his body face to us adhering us to do something. Now is the time for the church to make all mountains molehills in every area, financial, marital and physical.
