Undernourished School Children in the Mountains of Haiti Now Being Fed

Every month Kingdom Connection partners sponsored a $10,000.00 shipment of food for school children living in the mountains of Haiti.

Most of these children get up early in the morning and walk three or four hours across rugged mountainous terrain to get to school. Their breakfast is usually half a cup of coffee with sugar in it. No eggs. No bread. Nothing. They are often so hungry they fall asleep in class.

“Your gift is so important,” said Bobby Burnette, Director of Love a Child in Haiti. “We love feeding hungry children. It’s like watching a miracle. Being fed brings vitality and vigor back to a hungry child. It gives them the ability to learn and to receive a Christian education.”

An old Haitian proverb says, “An empty sack cannot stand.” Just as a sack needs to be full in order to stand, a child needs to be fed in order to think and learn. It makes all the difference in the world when a hungry student receives energy and strength by being fed a meal at school.

Bobby said, “We realize this gift was a great sacrifice. We do not take this lightly. Thank you with all our hearts!”

Feeding hungry children is truly God’s love in action. Thank you for partnering with us to bring food and hope to children in Haiti who desperately need it. May God bless you for your generosity!
