Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure (Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT).
If you asked God, “Why do you love me?” He would not respond with a list of your attributes and characteristics. He would simply say, “Because I want to.”
God chose you before the creation of the world. He ordained your days before you were formed in your mother’s womb. Before you made a single decision, He decided to love you and make a place for you in His family. And perhaps the most romantic part of this love story; He’s not forced to accept you, He wants to. It brings Him joy.
When you run, He stays. When you fail, He’s unwavering. When you doubt Him, He is steadfast. God is faithful in His love for you. His faithfulness is not contingent on your actions, nor moved by your shortcomings.
HEAR THE SOUND . . . TODAY REMEMBER:
When you pour out your all to Him and enter into His presence in worship, do it with thanksgiving. There is no room for guilt or condemnation in God’s presence. He welcomes you with open arms, because He’s faithful to love you with an unconditional love.
