DON’T GIVE UP ON YOUR MARRIAGE

If you have discovered the person God has put into your life with all five areas of compatibility that we’ve talked about the last couple of days – spiritual, character, emotional, communication, physical/sexual – you have found a relationship worth fighting to keep. There will be tough times no matter how compatible you are. God never said you could get out of marriage just because it gets hard. You must be determined to uphold your vows through struggles and trials.

But what if you are married now and your spouse does not believe? God is still for your marriage! 1 Peter 3:1 tells us, “Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives.” So, if you serve the Lord and your spouse doesn’t, that doesn’t mean you end the marriage to go find someone who does. God tells us to continue to do what His word says and trust He will take care of every situation. God is for your marriage!

The path may not be easy, but a marriage that stands the test of time is worth it. In closing, I want to pray a blessing over your marriage:

“I pray you are blessed with laughter and love, strength and passion. May God grant you peace when you need it and joy when you least expect it. May you put God first and your relationship will never be last. May you continually grow in love as the man and woman God Himself has joined. Amen.”
