Surviving Malnutrition

At 7 years old, Jackson has already beat the Haitian statistics that say 1 in 10 children will not live to see their 5th birthday. But he was dying when his uncle took him to Love a Child’s mobile clinic at the end of 2014. He suffered from Kwashiorkor Malnutrition.

If a child in the United States is diagnosed with Kwashiorkor, it is considered a sign of child abuse and severe neglect. In Jackson’s case, he was one more victim of this childhood killer in Haiti due to limited food supply and low protein diets.

His mother had fed him the best she could—mostly a diet of flour, water and rice.

After months at the LAC orphanage where he was provided medical care and nutritious meals provided through the $10,000 Kingdom Connection sends each month, Jackson recovered!

He now lives at the orphanage, attends school and is healthy!

Our missionary, Sherry, wrote, “We want to thank Pastor Jentezen and his Kingdom Connection partners, for building the Kingdom Connection Food Distribution Center and also for sponsoring a container of food each month: $10,000, 270,000 meals!”

THANK YOU! For your continued support of this ministry that is literally and spiritually saving lives. Every gift counts!
