Remote Village Food Outreach

Our missionary partners, Bobby and Sherry Burnette, continue to reach out to remote villages in Haiti to provide food and show love to families in those villages. Here’s an update from Bobby:

“One of our tasks in Haiti is getting food to poor children and families in hard to reach areas. Sometimes it takes more than a day just to travel to a village across the mountains. But the effort is worth it. The food has a great impact on the villagers. Often we find that so many people are touched by the love of God through the feeding programs that a church or school is started as a result. It’s also remarkable to see witch doctors whose lives are being changed by the gospel because we brought food to a village and the local witch doctor came and was fed.”

Thank you to everyone who is supporting the Food for Life project in Haiti. Through this program, we are all partnering together to fulfill the instructions given to us in James 2:15-16:

“If you know someone who doesn’t have any clothes or food, you shouldn’t just say, ‘I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat.’ What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help?”

We’re doing more than just talking. Together, we’re taking action to provide food to people who are hungry and, through this, we’re reaching them with the love of God.
