Rapid Progress Being Made on Housing for Poverty-Stricken Holocaust Survivors in Israel

In partnership with Friends of Zion we are currently repairing and remodeling a building to provide safe and modern housing for Holocaust survivors in Israel.  Many of these Holocaust survivors are living in poverty; some are even homeless. They deserve the security and stability these new homes will provide.

Due to the age of the building being remodeled, a great deal of work is needed to transform it into modern apartment homes. According to a spokesperson for the Friends of Zion, much has already been done:

  • The interior of the building has been demolished and has been cleared of debris.
  • Plans have been approved for new electricity, plumbing, air conditioning, and other systems.
  • The roof is being repaired and strengthened.
  • An elevator is being installed.
  • After consulting Holocaust survivors to assess their needs, the plans for the interior design of the new apartments are also in place.

At completion, the building will provide safe, comfortable, and beautiful homes for Holocaust survivors in desperate need of them. People who are currently living in unsafe and unhealthy conditions will finally have a safe haven, a sanctuary—a home. Thank you for making this happen. Your support is appreciated. Blessings to you and your family!
