ALL MY HEART

You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV).

Jesus was led by the Spirit to fast and pray in the desert before He preached one sermon, healed one cripple, freed one captive or called one disciple. He went through a process of fasting forty days to prepare Himself for the work that God had laid ahead; fasting paved the way for God’s promise to be fulfilled through the cross.

If Jesus fasted and prayed before fulfilling His calling, how much more should we?

The Scripture tells us to wait upon the Lord. How often do we wait for a doctor, wait for a hair stylist or wait for a phone call? Are we willing to pay the price for hearing from God by changing our priorities and waiting on Him? Can we refrain from our favorite TV programs and social media networks long enough to be alone with God in prayer and worship?

If you truly want to find more of God, you must search for Him with all your heart.

HEAR THE SOUND . . . TODAY PRAY:
Jesus, I know that growing closer to you will require more than giving up meals. I want to give you my time, my attention and all of my heart as I seek to know You more. Search my heart, Lord, and show me the things that are taking priority over You in my life.
