Facing Everyday Life in Israel

Michal Uziyahu, resident of this community bordering the Gaza Strip and mother of three, says step by step the Eshkol Region has learned how to do the best they can living in their crazy reality. With 3,500 children under the age of 18 living in this region of Israel, we feel it's critical that we provide comfort and support for their growing needs. 97% of the children in Eshkol suffer from PTSD. Only they are not post trauma at all—they’re right in the middle of it. So much so, in fact, that Michal told us they can’t focus on overcoming the trauma, instead they have to build strength to face it.
