Fight for Your Family

From the beginning of time, Satan has been out to destroy families. It is his number one priority. He understands that when the family unit is divided, havoc can be wreaked. And statistics would tell us, he’s pretty effective. But there is hope for those in Christ Jesus. Nehemiah talks about when we fight for our families, God will fight for us. And the good news is, when God fights, He wins—every time!

You don’t have to be strong to enter this fight. Your life doesn’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to have everything together before you start. In the great juxtaposition of the kingdom of heaven, it is in your acknowledged weakness and humbled prayers that the Lord sends His angel armies to conquer on your behalf. This fight is aggressive, intentional, offensive and proactive. It is the type of fight that keeps you up through the midnight hour, on your knees for those under your roof.

So wherever you are, whatever you are encountering within your family, let me encourage you … keep on fighting. Fight for what is left. Fight when it seems you have no more strength, being aware the enemy of your soul is waiting just outside the door of your life. He poses no threat unless you forget he is there. Put on your armor friend, and march forward into your family’s victory.

“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world” (1 John 4:4 NLT).
