Day 12: The Mighty Snowflake
I believe God is ready to release a mighty river of His presence and power in our land, but I don’t think it will come in a sudden wave. I believe He is waiting for the “persons” of God to unite in fasting, praying and seeking His face like we’re doing now.
Because for God, one person becomes like that one uniquely crafted snowflake that quietly lands on the peak of the Andes Mountain range. When the temperatures rise, those individual flakes melt, forming tiny rivulets which merge together to feed small streams. Those small streams feed larger streams, and those larger streams flow into the largest river in the world—the mighty Amazon River. The Amazon didn’t start as the largest river in the world … it started as one snowflake, yet it releases the largest volume of water into the ocean of any river on earth. The force and volume of the Amazon is so strong that its freshwater flow pushes back the salty ocean waters of the Atlantic for about 250 miles! It is said to even change the color of the Atlantic Ocean water in an area covering nearly 1 million square miles.
That gives a new perspective to Habakkuk’s words “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” (Hab. 2:14). When you lay a solid foundation of humbling yourself in fasting and in prayer and in turning from wickedness, the impact will be immeasurable! Clearly, it is time we regained the edge! God is looking for a person, for people, who will fast and pray, seek His face, and turn from wickedness. Those people will form a mighty river that will push back darkness and uncleanness. It will break lose the chains of bondage and set free the bound.
When our bellies are emptied of the junk of the world, then, as Jesus said, a holy river of living water will flow! It is time to stop waiting on someone else to do it. God said, “If My people.” Not the world. Not the Democrats. Not the Republicans. Jesus said, “My sheep [my people] hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).
Your influence for God will spread like that forceful Amazon and push back the darkness. It is time to stop complaining that there is not a voice in government that will speak against immorality, against the business of murdering unborn children, against human trafficking, against the homo sexual agenda—and become that mighty river, the voice that God will use to flood a nation with righteousness, with His glory.

You just keep going! The war against our flesh is a daily one; don’t beat yourself up! Trust me, you are not the first person to give in. Don’t let it stop you though…there is great reward in putting God first! Hope this helped.

Amen! I posted on day 4 that my daugther was out there and she was diagnostic with bipolar 2 years ago and I declare this bipolar a devils liar! Praise God! Sometimes there are just no words that can express the Sheer Joy of the Word, the truth. This is a Rhema word. We are all individual agents or witnesses of the power and glory of our Father through Jesus. I am crying out during this fast to be cleansed of me, the world and defilement so that I can be the vessel filled with His living water that the world needs. Because we also believe that God deserves our best – the first month of the year. We’re very blessed by being part of the Fasting Movement, by the video’s and magazine. So thank you Pastor Jentezen! Through our fasting and prayer God reveales a lot of what is on His heart for us indiviually, His church, our city of Amsterdam (that is actually His!). Our fasting and prayer is that God will break through in the city; that the blind will see, the lame will walk, and the dead will rise for the glory of our Lord! The enemy is defeted! And God will show forth His glory and come like the forceful Amazon, as you mentioned. God showed me that this breaktrough will come – he showed me that our fasting and prayers were ‘stored up’ as a river behind a dam. After these days the pressure of it will be so strong that the dam will no longer be able to hold it and will break under the pressure of it and the water is released with such power and might that it will overflow the land. I want to say thank you to everyone. The fasting this year has been a little raiser than my past ones. My daughter old car broke down at the stop light. I prayed it is not the alternator and my prayer was answered instead on $600 we paid $166+for the alternator belt which was cut. Thank you God for providing the help.the Lord is good.

That analogy of the amazon river starting with one snowflake is very real to me. It tells us that our voice matters. It always starts with one voice and then others join. Let us seek God and hear His voice as He leads us towards our destiny, which starts like one snowflake and flows to the ends of the world. This is a powerful word and let it minister to my heart, body and soul as the Lord pleases and wishes.

An amazing description of how much we can impact the earth and everything in it, by just humbling ourselves for the glory of God. I rarely heard about the Amazon River, but this example is a very clear picture of how I can now view it and a sample of what we can do against this dark world, since we have the greatest of the greatest inside of us, Jesus Christ!
