Praise Him At All Times

“Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.” Job 1:20-22

Job had to stay encouraged. He didn’t understand why he lost his wealth, family, health, and his ten children. Job never knew that there was a conversation up in Heaven between God and Satan. God was bragging on Job. God told Satan that Job didn’t serve Him because of all that he was given. He told him, “Look, Job doesn’t serve me because of, he serves me in spite of.” It’s one thing to worship God because you’ve got a blessed family, a big house, a nice car, and a good job. But it’s another thing to worship God in spite of trials, difficulties, tribulations, heartbreaks, and tears.

Today, praise God in spite of your hardships. He is worthy of your praise. You may be currently experiencing trials, tribulations, and difficulties and it’s tempting in those times to put yourself down and want to quit. One of the enemy’s biggest weapons is discouragement.

Being able to stay encouraged and positive no matter what life throws at you is a powerful weapon. If you can learn this principle, you will be of great use in the kingdom of God and an inspiration to all those in your world.

Pray this prayer today: “Dear God, I want to praise you in the good times and the bad. I worship you today in spite of my trials, difficulties, tribulations, and tears. I accept your plan for me and know it is good. I live for your glory. Amen.”
